Solveig Styve Holte (b. 1984) is a dancer and choreographer. She completed her MA in Choreography in 2015 at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KhiO) where she is a currently a Research fellow. Her research explores usages of already existing materials and historical archives in a contemporary choreographic practice, emphasizing questions of agency and shared authorship. She works extensively in collaborations and creates performances for museum, gallery, theater, outdoor spaces, as well as writings. Recent works are ViSir (2020), Flakkande røynd (2019) with Grenne/ Holte/Lauvdal/ Johannesdottir/ HAiKw and Lightness: Fleire(2017).In 2021 she will premiere a new performance HORDE in collaboration with Ingri Fiksdal and 10 teenagers in the new Munch Museum in Bjørvika and in Kilden teater in Kristiansand. She has presented works at Galleri Golsa, Podium, Dramatikkens hus, Dansens Hus and Black Box teater in Oslo, Dansehallarne, Copenhagen, Kunsthall Trondheim, Weld Stockholm. Together with Venke Sortland and Ann-Christin Kongsness she initiated and is the in editorial team for the anthology KOREOGRAFI/ CHOREOGRAPHY(2016 and 2018) with an upcoming edition for 2020.
