Isak Wisløff (b.1989)
Assistant Professor of Furniture Design at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
Curator and co-founder of the artist-run space Hulias in Oslo.
Wisløff’s
artistic practice is eclectic, multimedial and interdisciplinary. He works in
the cross-sections between design and fine art. He seeks the universal human through
the code of three statements.
Dopamining is an ongoing artistic research project that is a result av a method Wisløff has named deschiphering
1. Everyone is a composite made of
flesh, guts and bones.
2. Everyone is a consumer of things and
culture.
3. Everyone is spiritual in one way or
another.
Dopamining
is an ongoing artistic research project where Wisløff tests
a method he has named Deciphering. By decoding a device back to its natural habitat and material
origin several narratives occur. In this case, the device is an iPhone.
