André Eiermann is professor of theatre at the University of Agder in Kristiansand (Norway). He has formerly worked at several universities in Germany, a.o. as substitute professor of the theory and history of theatre at University of the Arts Berlin, as substitute professor for theatre studies at Goethe-University Frankfurt (Main), and as postdoc at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen. In addition, he is active as performing artist and collaborates as freelance dramaturge with various other artists, both in the Norwegian and in the international context. His ph.d-thesis Postspektakuläres Theater was published in 2009.
